Buying a new Chevy is exciting. Chevrolet is a brand associated with safety, value for money, and durability. But to ensure that your new car lasts for a very long time, the best option is to consider purchasing an extended warranty plan at your Chevy dealer in McGregor.

Chevy always looks for better ways to protect drivers and passengers and make owners’ journeys smooth and safe. Warranties vary in mileage and term length, and you can choose from several possible alternatives to better suit your needs. Three extended protection plans are available for 2023:

Extended Limited Warranty

On the first level, the Extended Limited Warranty covers your vehicle for up to 60,000 miles (40,000  more than the basic plan) or five years (three more than the basic). The plan covers one year of mechanical failures (parts and labor), roadside assistance (including towing, lockout, and emergency fuel delivery), and tire coverage. This protection plan can only be bought when you purchase your vehicle.

Chevrolet Silver Protection Plan

On level two, you can find the Silver Protection Plan, which covers you for the same distance and duration as the Extended Limited but also covers all electrical systems, steering components, seals and gaskets, and airbags. It also covers the cost of a rental vehicle in case of a covered breakdown and travel expenses for up to five days if the breakdown occurs more than 100 miles from home.

Chevrolet Platinum Protection Plan

The third and last level is the Platinum Protection Plan, which includes everything covered in the first two levels and offers audio and navigation system coverage.

Silver and Platinum protection plans can be bought any time before the 9-year or 80,000-mile mark. Components such as batteries, battery cables, brakes, and tire pressure systems are not covered by these protection plans, nor is routine maintenance.

Why Should I Purchase an Extended Protection Plan?

All new Chevy vehicles are covered by a factory protection plan that covers the essential components and parts. Still, an extended plan offers several additional safety layers so your car can keep functioning as new for longer. Considering the costs of one-time repairs, you’ll see that protection plans can save you significant money. You can fix your car at any authorized Chevy dealership with an extended protection plan.

For seamless care for your Chevy, we also recommend getting a pre-paid maintenance plan so Chevrolet-certified technicians will take care of your car periodically to keep it in optimal condition. Pre-paid maintenance plans are also available for electric vehicles.

After you purchase a Chevy vehicle, keep it running smoothly for a long time by getting an extended protection plan. Visit Jim Turner Chevrolet today and let our experienced and friendly staff guide you in choosing the best one.
