As an active part of the McGregor community, we know how important it is to take time to celebrate. This weekend is our McGregor Founder’s Day! Jim Turner Chevrolet is excited to be there, and we hope to see you there too. If you’re not familiar with what it’s all about, here’s a snapshot of what you can expect.
What is McGregor Founder’s Day?
McGregor Founder’s Day has been a tradition in McGregor, Texas for quite a long time. It’s a unique time for our community to come together as a whole. We get to celebrate and enjoy our small town heritage and all the good that comes with it. Local artists and food vendors overflow, giving you and your family more than enough choices to keep you busy for the weekend. There are local dance teams, cheerleaders, other performance artists and bands that will put on shows throughout the weekend. You won’t want to miss it.
Everything gets started on Friday night with a BBQ cook off and concert. What could be better?
What is There is to See and Do?
This event is free to the public but leave your pets at home. There are plenty of games and activities for children in the Kidszone to enjoy during the day including a petting zoo and bounce house.
There are activities for everyone else too. You can check out the washer and cornhole tournament, the cute baby content, or singing contest. And don’t forget to make time for all those food vendors and local artists!
Saturday also kicks off with a 5K race and parade in the morning. Finally, the festival closes out with a street dance accompanied by live music performed by popular local artists. You won’t want to miss out on a single moment of this Founder’s Day weekend.
