Country Xmas
This signature town event is back for its 3rd annual celebration! Happening on December 20-21 from 4-9pm at the Exchange Event Center, this is a free, family-friendly event featuring three blocks of attractions and vendors. The kids will be endlessly entertained with free snow slides, train rides, pony rides, a petting zoo, games and crafts, and a Santa visit.
There will be a special tree lighting ceremony on December 20 and both evenings will feature live music from talented local artists including Sami Brown, Purple Hulls, and Kaley Caperton. And don’t forget to stick around for a surprise special guest on December 21 at 8pm.
Worship Musical
The city’s Baptist Church is hosting a free yuletide-themed worship musical called ‘Searching for the King.’ It started on December 13 and will be running December 14 and 15 at 3pm. It’s guaranteed to be a joyous, music-filled night. And don’t forget to bring a non-perishable food items to donate to the local food pantry.
Xmas on Main Street
The City of Troy is hosting a free, family-friendly holiday market. On December 14 from 9am-3pm, come on down to the Troy Community Center to experience a unique mix of quality gifts and knowledgeable small business professionals. It’s the perfect opportunity to get some holiday shopping done with handmade decor, personalized gifts, beauty products, and other quality products! There will be crafts and coloring for the kids too.
Cameron Park Zoo Wild Lights
Your wild Chevrolet Silverado is the perfect vehicle to bring to Wild Lights at Cameron Park Zoo in Waco this holiday season. Every Thursday through Sunday from 6-9pm until December 31, the zoo is lit up with millions of sparking lights. Bring along the whole family and enjoy an evening gazing at the dazzling light displays while sipping on some hot chocolate.
Tickets for this magical event can be purchased on their website, and last entry is one hour prior to close. Special note that first responders and medical staff can receive $5 off admission on December 19, and all teachers get $5 off on December 26.
