An all-new Black 2024 Chevy Suburban pulling a fifth wheel on a mountain side highway surrounded by trees. - Jim Turner Chevrolet McGregor, TX

Almost nine decades after Chevy introduced the Suburban badge, it’s clear that this behemoth is the closest thing to family SUV perfection you’ll ever see. Think about that as you read through our guide on the trim levels of the 2024 Chevy Suburban.

Trim Levels of the 2024 Chevy Suburban

1. LS

If you are used to base models being nothing but bare-bones transport, prepare to be pleasantly surprised, as the LS is a well-equipped showcase of what the ‘Burban is all about. Even though it’s bulky, this vehicle feels nimble enough around cities. On the highways, it’s even better, with that long wheelbase providing a smooth, stable ride.

The standard engine option is the gas-powered V8 engine, though a turbocharged diesel engine, which provides more torque and fuel mileage, is available. Inside, you’ll find a cabin built around you and your family. There’s so much usable room, the cloth seats are comfortable, and the tech offering is modern, featuring an intuitive infotainment system with smartphone mirroring capability, an easy-to-read digital gauge cluster, a remote start system, and the list goes on and on.

2. LT

The LT, or Luxury Touring, levels up the LS with a nine-speaker Bose speaker system, a larger infotainment and gauge cluster, heated front seats, plush leather upholstery, a hands-free power liftgate, and wireless charging.

3. Z71

The Z71 readies the ‘Burban for life on the trails. It comes with all-terrain tires, roof-mounted side rails for hauling camping gear, bicycles, or anything else you need to make your adventures memorable, and a heavy-duty air filter that keeps your engine breathing easy in dusty conditions. In addition, it’s equipped with a front skid plate to shield the underbelly of your vehicle, plus two recovery hooks in case you find yourself stuck in a sticky situation.

4. RST

The RST is more oriented towards on-road performance, so expect plenty of thrills, especially if you choose the available 420-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine.

5. Premier

The next level up is the Premier trim, which, as its name suggests, takes the already-awesome Suburban to the next level by adding:

  • Heated steering wheel
  • Heated second-row side seats
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Power-sliding console
  • Perforated leather upholstery
  • Power-folding third-row seats
  • Magnetic Ride Control (for a very smooth ride)

6. High Country

As the top-tier trim level, the High Country delivers every luxury feature you can dream of, including a 15-inch head-up display, premium leather upholstery, rear pedestrian alert, and a camera system that shows you every angle around your vehicle. Think of it as the ultimate Suburban, the top dog, because that’s exactly what it is.
