2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV comes in six familiar trim levels: WT, LT, LTZ, Trail Boss, High Country, and RST. What might be new for Chevy fans are the incredible exterior features on the Silverado EV, like its under-hood storage (sometimes called a frunk), attractive panoramic fixed glass roof, and available massive 24-inch wheels. The Silverado EV will be available as a crew cab only, and you can adjust various exterior features to achieve three maximum lengths. Its Multi-Flex midgate behind the rear seats creates a pass-through, and when combined with the Multi-Flex tailgate and load stop, you'll have space for items up to 10 feet, 10 inches. With a backseat passenger, you can use the 60/40 flip-and-fold rear seats; with the tailgate closed, this configuration stores items 9 feet long in the bed. Finally, the standard bed size offers a respectable 5 feet, 11 inches of storage space.

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV replaces the traditional internal combustion engine with dual electric motors and a battery pack. But don't confuse it with a Prius; the Silverado EV is a battery-operated beast. Chevy has estimated that its high-end trims can output up to 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque. That kind of power can not only pull your heaviest loads, but it can also accelerate the Silverado EV from 0 to 60 in under 4.5 seconds.

The 2024 Silverado EV not only outperforms other gas-powered pickups in its class when it comes to towing, but it also outperforms many other electric vehicles when it comes to its electric driving range. The EPA has estimated the Silverado EV can achieve a substantial 450 miles of range on a full charge. And for those times when you need to recharge, you won't be wasting your time at the charging port. Chevy estimates that you can charge the 2024 Silverado EV for up to 100 miles of range in 10 minutes on a DC fast charger. The towing capacity is equally impressive. The Work Truck trim offers a respectable 8,000 pounds of towing power, while the RST trim can tackle 10,000 pounds of towing. But if you need to haul some seriously heavy cargo, never fear. Chevy has announced that a model capable of towing 20,000 pounds will join the Silverado EV lineup soon.

The technological advancements don't stop with the Silverado EV's motor and battery pack. The interior is also full of modern comfort and convenience features. The 2024 Silverado features an available 17-inch infotainment display with built-in Google, a 14-inch head-up display, physical volume and HVAC controls, and an incredible 7 gallons' worth of center console storage space. The interior space is also much roomier than most pickup passengers expect, with plenty of legroom for those in the rear seats.

The 2024 Silverado EV comes standard with Chevy Safety Assist, which includes six safety and driver assistance features. Chevy has also confirmed that the Silverado EV will come with an available hands-free Super Cruise system.
