Located at 921 W. 3rd St. and run by McGregor local Moe Spradley, this museum allows its visitors to handle some of the artifacts and learn about the history of the telephone. The Spradley Telephone Museum is a must-see that the whole family will enjoy.
2. Dr. Pepper Museum
Did you know that
Dr. Pepper is America’s oldest soft drink brand and was created in Texas? You can drive up to Waco to see where it all began. The museum is located at 300 S. Fifth St. in Waco and inside the original Dr. Pepper manufacturing building. While visiting the Dr. Pepper Museum, you can tour three floors of memorabilia and participate in hands-on workshops. The Dr. Pepper Museum is conveniently open seven days a week, year-round.
3. Texas Museum of Theater and Broadcast
The
Texas Museum of Theater and Broadcast is located here in McGregor at 300 S. Main St. with a mission to educate and preserve its industry’s history. While walking around the Texas Museum of Theater and Broadcast, you will see various artifacts like musical instruments, vintage cameras, and radio broadcasting equipment. With its prime location on Main St., you will find plenty of parking for your Chevy Trailblazer in front of this unique and fun museum.
4. Martin Museum of Art
We’ve got the perfect suggestion for the art enthusiast who might be reading. By taking a short drive to Baylor University, you can find the
Martin Museum of Art, located at 60 Baylor Avenue in the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center. The Martin Museum of Art is free to visit and offers a variety of fine art exhibits and events open to the public. Visiting hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sundays from 1 pm to 5 pm.
